It is hard to believe that the night before this photo was taken, a snow storm was blowing in Cradle Mountain and it was impossible to see across Dove Lake, let alone view any peaks. With just the slightest hint of a breeze on the water, the following day's hiking around the lake was almost perfect, despite the very slippery black ice.
