Lagoon Saddle is found in Arthur's Pass National Park, in the South Island of New Zealand. I was fortunate enough to spend New Year's Eve here one year and celebrated a time of reflection amidst a night show of the southern skies that was truly spectacular. This photo was taken late in the afternoon as the temperature dropped and the beanies and fleece came out in the middle of summer.
